brian was a stray cat tabby and white my sister fed for 3 years she was truly devastated to find him past away in a outhouse bought for him were he slept out of the cold he was a lovable cat very loving he had no teeth and was quite a character all he wanted was someone to love him and my sister gave him all the love she could fed him daily as if her own as she has 3 cats and disabled she was unable to house him but provided the best option in a garden shed with cat flap so he had shelter a bed when he needed it and think its more than he got anywhere sadly brian passed away in his sleep today and my sister is devastated in 3 years he came on daily visits she became quite attached we will all miss him he was part of the family god bless brian we loved you

A Cat's Prayer
Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep...
I sleep right in the center groove
My human can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
My nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly, I have sharp teeth -
And my claws I will unsheath
For the morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs me and holds me tight
And sacrifices her bed at night.

Beyond the Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

~ Lend Me A Kitten ~
I will lend to you for a while
a kitten, God said.
For you to love while she lives,
and mourn when she's dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,
or maybe two or three
But will you, 'till I call her back,
take care of her for me?
She'll bring her charms to gladden you
and should her stay be brief,
you'll always have her memories
as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay,
since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught below
I want this kitten to learn.
I've looked the whole world over
in search of teachers true,
And from the folk that crowds life's land
I have chosen you.
Now will you give her all your love,
nor think the labor vain?
Nor hate me when I come to take
my kitten home again?

For all the joys this kitten brings,
the risk of grief I'll run.
I'll shelter her with tenderness,

But should you call her back
much sooner than I planned,

and try to understand.
If by my love I've managed
your wishes to achieve,
in memory of her sweet sweet love,

departs this world of strife,
